This manual describes how to change the IP address of the IC Smart via the device's built-in website.


An other way of changing the IP Address is by using the BeverApp

Prerequisites

  • Ensure the IC Smart is connected to a network or directly to your PC. 
  • You need access to the device's web interface.
  • A Bever Innovations account is required for login or a direct login code should be supplied.
  • The serial number of the IC Smart is needed, which can be found on the side of the DIN rail module, on the sticker at the top of the boxed housing, or via the Bever App


Steps to change the IP Address

  1. Connect to the IC Smart Web Interface
  2. Log In to the Device
  3. Access Network Settings
  4. Change the IP Address


A direct cable between the IC Smart and PC is an easy way to connect to the device.


Connect to the IC Smart Web Interface

  1. Open a web browser on your PC.
  2. Enter the following URL: http://icsmart-xxxxxxxxxx.local (replace xxxxxxxxxx with the serial number of your IC Smart).


The serial number of the IC Smart can be found on the side of the DIN rail module, on the sticker at the top of the boxed housing, or via device search using the Bever App.



Log in to the device


Click on the Login button. 


After clicking the login button, a login screen will pop up showing the login challenge.

You have three login options::


Using the Bever App

  1. Open the Bever App on your mobile device.

  2. Navigate to the Login Code Generator in the side menu.


    If you have trouble finding your login code: 
Download the Bever App from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Ensure you have a Bever Innovations account with appropriate access rights.
The login code generator is located in the side menu of the app.
If additional assistance is needed, contact Bever Innovations support.


  3. Enter the challenge code and click on GET CODE, now enter the login code into the web interface.


Requesting a Login Code from Support

  • Contact Bever Innovations support.

  • Provide the challenge code displayed on the login screen.

  • Enter the supplied login code into the web interface.


Using the Owner Code

  • If an owner code is set for the device, enter it directly.


After logging in, you will see a user icon displaying your role.


Access Network Settings


After logging in, you will see a user icon displaying your role.


Now click on the settings button on the network element


After clicking the button, a configuration screen will pop up displaying network settings.


Change the IP Address

  • Switch to static IP to make the changes as required.
  • Save the settings
  • The settings are applied immediately, as can be seen in the network element.


After changing the IP address, the device will still also listen to the old address to prevent accidental failure in the settings. However, after a reboot, the fallback is removed.
