Introduction
The Communicator DD (1CH/2CH) (21001/20937) Dongle allows you to integrate any power supply that provides an auxiliary 12V DC output and supports Digital Dimming control into your existing Smart network. Up to two channels per device are supported (CH1, CH2) by the Communicator DD. A 3-pin Amphenol X-Lok Mini Series connector is used to connect to the power supply.

Core Functions
The digital dimming dongle is a 3-pole dongle as described in the introduction, designed to attach to any device supporting external control to enable Smart network features for the connected device.
These Smart network features include target output values, configurable startup behavior, device identification via flicker, power transfer percentage between channels (2CH only), repetition of reported output values, access to statistics, and the ability to define devices in networks and groups to remotely control specific (groups of) devices with output values.
The 1CH version only supports devices with a single output. The 2CH version can control two outputs. The 1CH version cannot be used with devices that support more than one output.
Configuration
After powering-up the device, the Communicator DD (2CH) Dongle should be visible in the Bever App. Simply add the device to a Smart network (1-30) and group (1-30) and it is ready to control your power supply.

| Channel 2 base output | 0% | Default output for channel #2 (2CH only) |
| Channel 3 base output | 0% | - Reserved for future purposes - |
| ADVANCED Tab | ||
| Output behaviour | ||
| Keep last received percentage | OFF | Prevents the output from reverting to the fallback percentage when the validity of the level packet for the corresponding channel expires |
| Device identification | ||
| Allow device flicker | ON | Allow output of set "Channel to flicker" to flicker on request via app (go to flicker minimum value, then to flicker maximum value and return to value before flicker, adjustable in EXPERT Tab) |
| Channel to flicker | 1 | Channel used for flicker to identify when device is selected in Bever App (1CH only allows channel 1) |
| EXPERT Tab | ||
| Power transfer | ||
| Ch2 to 1 Power transfer percentage | 0% | Transfer part of possible output power of channel 2 to channel 1 on top of output channel 1 (2CH only). Drivers can split the total output power over the number of channels evenly. However, when in this case channel 2 is off, the set percentage of maximum output power of channel 2 is provided on top of set output power of channel 1 |
| Ch3 to 1 Power transfer percentage | 0% | - Reserved for future purposes - |
| Repeat same percentage | ||
| Repeat same percentage | OFF | Repeat to report target output percentage to driver for every supported channel for the set repeat interval |
| Repeat interval | 5 seconds | Interval between report repeating output percentage to driver of same percentage for every supported channel. |
| Statistics update | ||
| Statistics update interval | 10 seconds | Interval between update statistics from driver |
| Flickering behaviour | ||
| Flicker minimum value | 10% | Minimum value to dim towards when flicker to identify is triggered of defined channel |
| Flicker maximum value | 70% | Maximum value to dim towards when flicker to identify is triggered of defined channel |
| Delay (ms) | 500ms | Delay between reporting target ouput percentages from Flicker minimum value to Flicker maximum value to original value |
