Step 1 - Grouping Devices:

Start by identifying the devices you wish to group together. Click and hold these devices to select them.

This grouping will enable you to manage their data-sharing behavior effectively.

If you want to select all devices in your network, press the square button:If no devices are selected yet, the tree dots can be clicked and the option "select all" is available:

Step 2 - Creating a new Group and assigning a Group ID:

Tap on the three dots and select "change groups" to create a new group.

Upon creating the group, assign a unique ID to it.

This ID will serve as a reference point for identifying and managing the group:

Devices can be added to multiple groups, to create a preferabel setup!

Step 3 - Configuring Sensor Sharing:

Now we have created a group we can start altering the settings.

Navigate to the newly created group and select Sensor sharing.

This process allows you to define which devices will serve as data senders and which will act as data receivers.

Before proceeding, ensure that the data you are working with is up to date. Click "Download data" to fetch the latest information.

Do you have a lot of devices in your group and only want to download the settings for one device? Tap and hold the device you want to download the data for!

Do you have an smart(+) license? Activate your license to enable more features!

Within the sensor sharing settings, you have the authority to designate specific devices as "Share" or "User." The devices marked as "Share" will serve as data senders, while those labeled as "User" will receive the shared data.

Share = The sender

User = The receiver

Use motion detector (on/off)Use light sensor (on/off)Use light intensity (this functionality is only available with a smart bridge).

A light or motion sensor can only provide a signal for on or off. When using the option motion or light, the settings that are configured on the device, will be utilized. The settings of the device, e.g. dim to 70%, are not shared. The settings for individual, or multiple devices, can be altered under 'settings' which we will explain in the next step.

The 'Share Level' option will only be available for smart bridges capable of transmitting the level output.
Most other devices are however able to listen to this.

In this scenario, we'll use a motion detector (PIR) as the data sender ("Share") and a Luci fixture as the data receiver ("User"):
